What we build and run for you

Eight areas we have been at home in for years. A project usually starts in one of them and grows into the others.

01

Software development

Custom applications in C# and .NET — from business logic through the database to the user interface. For the places where off-the-shelf software fails to match how you actually work.

02

Web applications

Angular front ends with an ASP.NET Core API behind them. Multilingual, built for phone and desktop alike, and where needed shipped as iOS and Android apps from the same code.

03

Hosting and operations

Our own servers in Switzerland, daily backups, redundant firewall, mail with spam and virus filtering. Including the unglamorous work nobody notices as long as it gets done.

04

Web content management

Running and maintaining WordPress, Joomla, TYPO3, Drupal and DotNetNuke. Editorial websites where you keep the content in your own hands.

05

Interfaces and integration

REST APIs, multichannel architectures and application-to-application integration. So data arrives where it is needed — including formats such as SwissRETS.

06

Security strategies

Hardening of application and infrastructure: authentication, encryption, rate limits, intrusion detection, access checks. Not as an afterthought, but as part of the design.

07

Databases

Design, migration and optimisation with MS SQL Server and Entity Framework Core. From the first table to the query that takes twenty milliseconds instead of twelve seconds.

08

IT management and consulting

Intranets and extranets, technology selection, review of existing systems, guidance through migrations. Advice from someone who would have to implement it afterwards.

Technology

Our toolbox

We deliberately work with a narrow set of technologies we know very well. MS SQL, C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS — plus the operations side with IIS, Windows Server and Cloudflare.

That restraint is a decision. Every additional technology costs attention for years to come: updates, security advisories, learning curves. If you plan to run an application for ten years, you do not pick the newest option but the most durable one.

How we proceed

From enquiry to a running system

  1. Understand

The business flow first, the technology second. We look at how the work is done today and where it actually hurts — often not the place named in the enquiry.

  2. Design and quote

You receive a proposal that names scope, approach and cost, and that honestly marks the open questions as open. In stages if you prefer, so that something usable exists after each one.

  3. Build

Development in short steps with working intermediate versions. You see something real early and can correct course while correcting is still cheap.

  4. Operate

Going live on our servers or in your environment, then monitoring, backups, updates and further development. The point at which many projects are left on their own.

Hourly rate

Programming and development work costs CHF 180 per hour, plus 8.1 % VAT.

For clearly scoped work we are happy to quote with a cost ceiling. Smaller changes to existing systems are billed by time spent.
