Legal
Privacy policy
This site gets by on very little data. Whatever does arise is set out here — in full, with no reference to somebody else's legal text.
Controller
Responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is:
IT Hub GmbHRautistrasse 75, 8048 Zürich, Schweiz
Visiting the site and server logs
On every visit your browser transmits technically necessary details which our web server records: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, the status code, the referring page and the browser identification.
These logs serve operations, troubleshooting and security — for instance to detect and repel attacks. They are not combined with other data sources and are not used to recognise individuals.
Legal bases
Processing takes place under the Swiss Data Protection Act (FADP). Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website, on the handling of pre-contractual enquiries, and on your consent wherever consent is required.
Contact form
When you use the form, you send us the details entered there: name, email address and message are required, company, phone and subject are optional. We additionally record your IP address, the browser identification and the time of receipt — they help detect automated abuse.
We use these details solely to answer your enquiry. They reach us as email and remain in our mailbox as long as the enquiry is of business relevance. They are not used for advertising and are not passed on to third parties.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies of its own. We only store your decision about usage statistics in your browser's local storage so that we do not have to ask again on every visit. That entry never leaves your device and is not transmitted to the server.
You can change your decision at any time — via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer or the button further down this page.
Usage statistics (Google Analytics)
For anonymous usage statistics we use Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited. What is collected: pages visited, time spent, referring page and technical details about device and browser. The IP address is truncated.
This only happens if you expressly consent. Without your consent Google's script is not loaded, no connection to Google is made, and no data is transmitted. A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out; Google relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses for this.
You have not decided yet. Until then, usage statistics are switched off.
Cloudflare
Access to this website runs through Cloudflare, a service for repelling attacks and speeding up delivery. In doing so, technical connection data such as the IP address is processed. The basis is our legitimate interest in secure and available operation.
Spam protection in the form
To protect the contact form against automated submissions we use technical checks — among them a field invisible to you, the time taken to fill the form in, and a limit on submissions per connection. Where Google reCAPTCHA is enabled, a puzzle-free check is added when you submit (reCAPTCHA v3): Google assesses whether the input comes from a human and processes technical connection and usage data for this purpose, such as the IP address and behaviour on the page. The Google script is only loaded when you click "Send enquiry" — not when you merely open the page. The provider is Google Ireland Limited; its privacy policy and terms of service apply (policies.google.com).
Hosting
This website runs on IT Hub GmbH's own servers in Switzerland. There is no external hosting provider with access to the content or the logs.
Retention
Server logs are deleted automatically after a short period, unless they are needed to investigate a specific security incident. Enquiries sent through the contact form are kept for as long as processing and any follow-up questions require, and within the scope of statutory retention obligations.
Your rights
Under the applicable data protection laws you have the following rights:
- Access to the data processed about you
- Rectification of inaccurate data
- Erasure of your data
- Restriction of processing
- Release or transfer of your data
- Objection to processing and withdrawal of a consent given
An email to the address given above is enough to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) and, where the GDPR applies, with the supervisory authority responsible for you.
Security
The connection to this website is encrypted throughout (HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Please note, however, that ordinary email travels unencrypted — for particularly sensitive details we will gladly agree on another route.
Changes
We adjust this policy whenever something changes about the website or the services it uses. The version published here is the one that applies.
